Gaia Oil is a gentle dry oil with high skin tolerability. It spreads easily over the skin, leaving it soft and velvety without a greasy residue. The product is made from a blend of plant oils rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids.

Ingredients

• Helianthus annuus oil (sunflower oil): has regenerating, emollient and refreshing properties and is very rich in vitamins E, D, F and K.
• Borage oil: an oil rich in gamma-linolenic acid, with marked anti-inflammatory activity through the inhibition of cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase enzymes.
• Adansonia digitata oil (baobab): an oil rich in vitamin C, B vitamins and vitamin PP. It regulates fibroblast activity, improving the trophism of the reticular and papillary dermis. It is a source of palmitic acid and botulinic acid with antioxidant activity.
• Glycine soja oil: an oil rich in essential fatty acids such as linoleic and linolenic acids, which provide marked moisturising and nourishing effects.
• Perilla frutescens oil: very rich in rosmarinic acid. The plant has marked antihistamine and anti-allergic properties.
• Melaleuca alternifolia oil: has well-known antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties.
• Directions for use: Apply the oil to the affected area two or three times a day, massaging gently.
• Areas of application:
  • Gynaecology: as an adjunct after medical treatment of vulvar conditions such as lichen, psoriasis and irritant or allergic eczema. Particularly useful for postmenopausal xerosis and to counteract physiological skin ageing.
  • Dermatology: skin xerosis caused by ageing and photoageing, solar and allergic dermatitis, and atopic dermatitis.
  • Angiology: xerotic, dry and dehydrated skin caused by venous stasis.
  • Surgery: after treatment of surgical wounds, to help counteract the formation of hypertrophic scars.
